Eton intensifies sustainability efforts; gets recognition at 9th PropertyGuru Awards

Amidst the ongoing pandemic, Eton Properties strengthens its commitment to the environment and sustainability and for its efforts, received Special Recognition in Environment, Social, Governance (ESG) in the recently concluded 9th PropertyGuru Asia Property Awards (Philippines).

While the challenging health situation was at its peak, Eton Properties gave exceptional value to its water resources and instituted measures to manage consumption and use. It has also addressed waste generation through efficient waste management practices in its properties, as well as took climate change seriously and use clean and renewable energy at its office buildings in Quezon City and Makati City with its partnership with MPower of MERALCO.

In terms of the social aspect of the award, Eton Properties ensures the creation of shared value and positive impact in the communities its businesses operate in. Further to its commitment on sustaining the livelihood of the farmers whom it supported through the “Masaganang Palayan Project” since 2019, Eton Properties has also transformed its events venue, Centris Elements in Eton Centris, Quezon City into a vaccination center to assist the local government on inoculating majority of its population and assisted on rebuilding the local economy.

More so, it has also partnered with the Bureau of Corrections and art gallery and curio shop, Puesto Manila, to give artist-inmates a platform to showcase their artworks in Eton properties for them to gain patrons. Together with the Tan Yan Kee Foundation, it will be conducting an outreach program in Hospicio de San Jose this December to give rice from the “Masaganang Palayan Project” and fresh produce from the Lucio Tan Legacy Forest Project.

Apart from its Special Recognition in ESG, Eton Properties’ Blakes Tower in Makati City was also hailed as a Highly Commended Awardee for Best Mega Mixed Use Development in the 9th Philippines Property Awards.
