Quezon City is closer to its target of vaccinating 100% of its residents, with the assistance of Eton Properties Philippines, in partnership with MediCard Philippines. The property developer recently transformed its event venue, Centris Elements in the BPO-IT lifestyle hub, Eton Centris, along EDSA, as a vaccination center to support the local government unit (LGU) on reaching its objective of a Covid-free city.
In a statement, Quezon City Vice Mayor Gian Sotto thanked Eton Properties for setting up Centris Elements as a venue for the city’s vaccination drive. "Having Eton as one of our private partners will help us in reaching our goal to protect all our Quezon City citizens. With Centris Elements' strategic location, the vaccination site became more accessible to everyone, which in return made it easier for us in the LGU to accomplish our goal of 100% QC ProtekTODO," Sotto said.
Eton Properties Chief Operating Officer, Karlu Tan Say, agrees, “It's important for us in the private sector to work together with the local government for the welfare of our immediate community and for the economy as well. Working with the LGU will bring us one step closer to normalcy and economic growth."
Centris Elements is a 2,000 square meters events venue that catered to social and corporate functions pre-pandemic. With the current health emergency situation, Eton Properties transformed its facilities to adjust to the current needs of the community. According to Eton Properties Executive Vice President, Engr. Charlie Carlos, “It is essential for Eton to integrate social concerns such as the Covid-19 pandemic into its business operations and interactions in order to be a good corporate citizen. We are honored to be recognized by the QC LGU as a vital partner and we are one with the whole nation on fighting Covid-19.”
A total of 1,800 QC residents who are medical front liners, seniors and those with comorbidities were inoculated with the AstraZeneca vaccine in Eton Centris.
